Responsibilities
- Assess and Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Clinical Care: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to codes and emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
- Education: Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge care plans.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; CCRN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Technology: Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
