Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care on weekends, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established clinical protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients.
- Document patient care accurately, timely, and completely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond promptly to any changes or medical emergencies.
- Educate patients and families regarding post-discharge care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, but new graduates with excellent clinical skills will be considered.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced weekend unit.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.
