Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and clinical notes.
- Ensure a safe and healing environment by strictly adhering to infection control and safety policies.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, with strong weekend availability.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
