Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical care needs within the unit.
- Mentor and support junior nursing staff and nursing students.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Flexibility to float to other units based on departmental needs.
