Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond immediately to emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses.
- Educate patients and families regarding discharge instructions, medications, and preventative care.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Commitment to patient safety and privacy (HIPAA compliance).
