Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring, walking, and positioning safely.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Document patient care plans and update medical records in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State Board of Nursing in Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations while prioritizing patient safety.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Reliable transportation to and from various work locations within the region.
