Responsibilities
Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatmentsPerform vital sign measurements, EKGs, and basic lab testsAdminister medications and injections under provider supervisionMaintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentationPrepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipmentSchedule patient appointments and handle insurance verificationsProvide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent requiredAccredited Medical Assistant program certification (CMA or RMA)Current BLS/CPR certificationMinimum 2 years clinical experience in a hospital settingProficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA complianceExcellent communication and multitasking abilitiesAbility to lift 25-50 lbs and stand for extended periods
