Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient health status through observation, interview, and examination.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols.
- Develop individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient's family to ensure holistic care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and medical records.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, though new graduates may be considered.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
