Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, adhering to strict safety protocols and timeframes.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, promptly escalating care to the provider team when necessary.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and the wider care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record (EHR) documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication side effects, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies with calmness and efficiency, utilizing critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; recent graduates welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration.
- Availability: Must be available to work a consistent weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
