Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care and assessment during weekend shifts.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, escalating concerns promptly to the charge nurse or physician.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, responses to treatment, and relevant changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility for shift rotations.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR).
