Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the shift.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and care instructions.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, hospital policies, and infection control procedures.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for high-acuity units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting (new graduates may be considered with exceptional credentials).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and provide high-quality care during high-stress situations.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
