Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, assessments, and interventions in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications may be required based on unit assignment.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
