Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed providers, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions continuously, intervening immediately when abnormalities are detected.
- Document all patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to therapy, in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient recovery.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to code blue and emergency situations, demonstrating leadership and quick decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficient in using EMR systems and computer applications.
