Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any changes or abnormalities.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond to patient emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (new grads welcome with applicable externships).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
