Responsibilities
- Assessment & Monitoring: Assess patient health needs, monitor vital signs, and document medical history and symptoms accurately.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and patient safety standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, wellness, and post-care instructions.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to resolve clinical issues.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date and accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff members.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California (CA).
- Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with diverse patients and staff.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
