Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including vital signs and medications.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking to resolve patient issues.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient and family education.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and patients as required by the role.
