Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately according to doctor's orders.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure compliance.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and offering medication counseling.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding and specialized medication preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software and electronic health records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid state pharmacy technician license for Oklahoma.
