Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort focus
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Provide remote pre-collection guidance to patients via telehealth platforms
- Update electronic health records (EHR) with real-time data entry
- Collaborate with lab teams to resolve specimen discrepancies remotely
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Train patients on home collection procedures when applicable
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Phlebotomy Technician certification (PBT) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in telehealth software and remote specimen tracking systems
- Excellent venipuncture skills with difficult access populations
- Strong written communication for remote patient guidance
- CPR/BLS certification from recognized provider
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
