Responsibilities
- Compound and dispense prescription medications with 99.9% accuracy
- Manage inventory control and automated dispensing systems
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Collaborate with physicians on medication therapy management
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Provide exceptional patient consultation on medication usage
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT)
- 3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified in sterile compounding (ASHP preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy law
- Experience with pharmacy management software (QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
