Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision and patient comfort
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratory facilities
- Maintain accurate patient records in our HIPAA-compliant EHR system
- Collaborate with remote team members via telehealth platforms for case coordination
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification (PBT or CPT)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication skills for virtual patient consultations
- Ability to work independently with remote supervision
- Basic knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
- Valid CPR certification
