Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and sterile technique maintenance
- Manage sterilization processes and inventory of surgical supplies
- Document procedural details and patient information remotely via secure systems
- Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure seamless case flow
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and sterile processing standards
- Participate in virtual training and continuing education programs
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to perform hands-on duties in OR and remotely manage documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms
- Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends/on-call
