Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and accurate triage assessments via phone and secure video calls to determine the urgency of patient needs.
- Provide evidence-based medical advice, symptom education, and self-care instructions to patients and caregivers.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Screen incoming patient inquiries and route them appropriately to ensure efficient workflow.
- Stay current on clinical guidelines, new protocols, and best practices in telehealth nursing.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a clinical setting or triage/telehealth environment.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and EMR software.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with high attention to detail.
