Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on denials
- Manage patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance payers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Analyze claim data to identify improvement opportunities
- Utilize billing software (Epic, Cerner) for efficient claim processing
Qualifications
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential required
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
