- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through appeals and corrections
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with providers to document diagnoses and procedures accurately
- Generate monthly reports on claim status and denial trends
- Update patient records in EHR systems with billing information
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, CPC-A, or CCS) required
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Expertise in claim scrubbing software (e.g., EncoderPro, Lytec)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
