Responsibilities
- Accurately process and verify prescriptions through digital platforms
- Coordinate with physicians and insurance providers for prior authorizations
- Provide telehealth consultations to patients regarding medication usage
- Maintain digital inventory systems and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all electronic communications
- Train patients on proper medication administration via video calls
- Generate and maintain digital patient records and documentation
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience (retail or hospital)
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- Strong attention to detail and error prevention skills
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home workspace
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of compounding procedures preferred
