Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and transport specimens to diagnostic laboratories
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control protocols
- Document patient information and lab results in electronic health records
- Provide patient education during specimen collection
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for specimen requirements
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and privacy regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- 1+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Valid Alaska state phlebotomy license
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with remote supervision
- Basic computer proficiency and reliable internet connection
