Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients according to physician orders.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage inventory levels and order pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist customers with insurance inquiries and payment processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to sit for certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical drugs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
