Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments using evidence-based protocols
- Provide clear clinical guidance to patients regarding symptoms and care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient interventions
- Document encounters accurately in EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Educate patients on self-care measures and appropriate healthcare utilization
- Manage high-risk cases with urgency and clinical precision
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience
- Triage certification or equivalent training required
- Strong proficiency in telehealth platforms and EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with remote work technologies and high-speed internet
- BLS certification (current)
