Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone/virtual health assessments using clinical judgment protocols
- Triage patient calls based on urgency and severity using established algorithms
- Provide accurate medical advice and direct patients to appropriate care levels
- Document patient interactions in EMR systems with precision and confidentiality
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams for complex cases
- Monitor patient outcomes and follow-up on critical cases
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
- 3+ years clinical experience in emergency/urgent care setting
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- Proficient in telehealth platforms and EMR documentation
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience with triage protocols (e.g., ESI, Manchester)
- Strong problem-solving under pressure
