Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals while adhering to specific dietary restrictions.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or mood to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment and equipment.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties related to patient care, such as making beds.
Qualifications
- Current, active Virginia State CNA Certification (or eligibility to obtain).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use EMR/EHR systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
