Role Overview:
As a CNA, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing essential care that ensures their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and document findings accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
