Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor for any side effects.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and light exercise to promote mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including laundry and light cleaning.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required.
- Certification: Current state certification (CNA/PCA) is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
