- Accurately code and submit claims for complex medical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes for commercial and government payers
- Analyze aging reports to identify billing discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation compliance with payer requirements
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for charge entry and account reconciliation
- Conduct regular audits to maintain 98%+ clean claim submission rate
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and Medicare/Medicaid
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential required
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations
- Advanced proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex claim adjudication
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
