- Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines
- Submit clean claims to insurance payers and follow up on outstanding balances
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through effective appeals
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Analyze aging reports and implement revenue cycle improvements
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of medical coding guidelines and billing regulations
