Your Mission
You will be the bridge between our pharmacists and patients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service in every transaction.
Responsibilities
- Execute the dispensing process for prescriptions, verifying dosages and ensuring accuracy before release.
- Perform inventory management, including stock rotation, reordering, and managing expiration dates to minimize waste.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding of sterile and non-sterile medications.
- Mentor and train new pharmacy technicians, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Manage patient inquiries regarding medications, side effects, and insurance coverage.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and company compliance protocols.
- Process returns and handle controlled substance documentation in accordance with state and federal laws.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
