Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering for optimal stock levels
- Process insurance claims and handle third-party billing documentation
- Provide medication counseling to patients in clear, compassionate language
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV and chemotherapy preparations
- Utilizes pharmacy automation systems for dispensing efficiency
- Upholds strict HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT) required
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified IV admixture preparation (ASHP preferred)
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and pharmacology
