Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications with zero-error precision
- Manage complex prescription verification and insurance processing
- Lead inventory control and medication compounding operations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and DEA regulations
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical interventions
- Utilize automated dispensing systems for optimal efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of hospital or specialty pharmacy experience
- Expert knowledge of sterile compounding and IV admixtures
- Proven proficiency in pharmacy management systems (QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and medication safety protocols
- Strong communication skills for patient and provider interactions
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments
