Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense medications with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage automated dispensing systems and inventory control protocols
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Process insurance claims and optimize medication reconciliation workflows
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain secure patient records
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize medication therapy management
- Perform quality control checks on compounded preparations
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license (PhT) in good standing
- 3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional mathematical accuracy and sterile compounding skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Experience training pharmacy technicians or interns
