Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications using advanced pharmacy technology
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication regimens
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing efficiently
Qualifications
- Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license required
- 2+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding techniques
