Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications in automated and manual systems
- Manage sterile compounding for IV medications and chemotherapy
- Coordinate inventory control and order fulfillment for 500+ medications
- Maintain compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Train junior technicians on pharmacy software and protocols
- Process insurance claims and patient assistance programs
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management
Qualifications
- Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license required
- 2+ years hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (Omni, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding USP 797
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Basic math skills for medication calculations
