Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure compliance with HIPAA.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all state and federal regulations (e.g., DEA, state board).
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management and patient counseling.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and compounding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician license.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software systems.
