Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications following strict protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and cycle counting
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence plans
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and electronic health records systems
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for medication therapy management
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of DEA regulations and sterile compounding
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
