Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical supply chain
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and pharmacy records
- Operate automated dispensing systems
- Train junior pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on patient care
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification required
- 2+ years retail pharmacy experience
- Texas Pharmacy Technician license
- Strong knowledge of drug interactions and compounding
- Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic math proficiency for dosing calculations
