Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and efficient venipunctures and capillary collections on patients of all age groups.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and CLIA guidelines.
- Manage patient flow in high-volume settings to ensure timely service delivery.
- Process, label, and transport specimens to the laboratory with 100% accuracy.
- Assist in the training and orientation of junior phlebotomy staff.
- Maintain a sterile environment and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting.
- Current and valid Washington State Phlebotomy Technician license.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and specimen handling procedures.
- Proven ability to de-escalate patient anxiety and provide compassionate care.
