Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize incoming patients using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine immediate intervention needs
- Oversee bed allocation and departmental resource management
- Train junior staff on triage protocols and emergency procedures
- Implement quality improvement initiatives for patient flow optimization
- Document electronic health records with 100% accuracy
- Participate in rapid response team activations
Qualifications
- BSN or higher (MSN preferred)
- 5+ years ER/ED experience with 2+ years in triage
- Current NE RN license with ACLS/BLS certifications
- Experience with ESI 5-level triage system
- Proficiency in Epic EHR or similar platforms
- Strong leadership and crisis management skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
