Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
- Collaborate with physicians to develop critical care pathways
- Mentor junior triage staff on advanced assessment techniques
- Implement EHR protocols for streamlined patient flow
- Conduct telephone triage for remote patients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Manage high-volume patient surges during emergencies
Qualifications
- BSN or higher (MSN preferred)
- 5+ years ED/trauma triage experience
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required
- Advanced EHR proficiency (Epic/Cerner)
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Louisiana RN license in good standing
- Spanish language proficiency a plus
