Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care levels in emergency settings
- Collaborate with physicians to develop effective treatment plans
- Utilize advanced triage protocols and EHR systems for accurate documentation
- Mentor junior nursing staff and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for patient flow
- Manage complex cases involving multiple comorbidities
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and NYC health department standards
Qualifications
- Current NY RN license with minimum 5 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- MSN or BSN with trauma triage certification preferred
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic/Cerner)
- Proven ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience mentoring nursing staff
- Spanish language proficiency highly valued
