Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans for complex cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with real-time documentation
- Provide clinical guidance to junior staff during high-volume periods
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Train on cutting-edge telehealth triage systems
- Ensure compliance with TJC and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license with minimum 3 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- BSN or MSN preferred
- Experience with ESI-5 triage protocols
- Proven ability to manage 15+ patients simultaneously
- Exceptional communication skills in English/Spanish
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
