Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity in high-volume emergency department setting
- Collaborate with physicians to develop rapid treatment plans for critical cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with precise documentation
- Lead triage team during peak hours and disaster scenarios
- Train and mentor junior triage staff on advanced assessment protocols
- Implement departmental quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and state emergency regulations
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with minimum 5 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- BSN or MSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Experience in high-acuity triage and trauma protocols
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly desirable
