Responsibilities

  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Assist with Medical Procedures: Support nursing staff with wound care, catheter care, and other medical procedures as directed.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and accurate communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
  • Documentation: Complete necessary charts, logs, and reports promptly and in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification: Active and unencumbered CNA License in the state of Ohio (or willing to obtain reciprocity).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
  • BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and families of diverse backgrounds.
